You can smell Apartment Coffee before you even see it. The aroma of its coffee floats in the air around Lavender Street where it is located.

The cafe has full length glass panels and gives the people queuing a good view of the interior. It was very minimalistic with white washed walls that looked extremely aesthetic in our camera. With its open concept pantry, you can opt for the counter seats where you get a bird’s eye view of the baristas.

It is not just the interior that is visually pleasing. Their coffee cups are not your usual ceramic cups but fine pieces of pottery art that are not only nice to look at, but nice to hold as well! Trust me when I say you feel 10x more sophisticated at Apartment Coffee.

What to Drink at Apartment Coffee

We ordered a Nicaragua La Virgen black filtered coffee ($6.50) and a Colombia La Loma Coffee with Milk ($5.00).

We could see our Nicaragua La Virgen being brewed on the spot thanks to the open counter. The black coffee was pretty strong and acidic, with light notes of dried apricot and longan that came in the form of lightly roasted and fruity fragrance. It was supposed to have notes of milk chocolate too, but it didn’t come through in our opinion.

For Colombia La Loma, it came in a smaller cup but filled all the way to the brim. To be honest, we were all in awe of how steady our barista’s hands were to not have spilled a drop while bringing it over.

The milk coffee was creamy and frothy, with a good balance of its velvety smooth milk and espresso. The espresso is a lot stronger than usual but thanks to the milk ratio, it did not taste too acidic.

If you are on your way to becoming a coffee connoisseur, Apartment Coffee is a must go! With so many different layers for a cup of coffee, it has made us rethink the workings behind a simple cup of coffee.
