Apiary Jubilee, located in the heartlands of Ang Mo Kio, is the 2nd outlet by the same team that launched Apiary at Neil Road. The flagship Apiary had been my go-to dessert place after a night of drinking at Keong Saik Street, so it is nice to have this alternative outlet in a more accessible HDB neighborhood.
The Ang Mo Kio branch is much smaller in comparison, with only 3-4 pax seating spaces. It has a Multi-style interior, with dried lalang right beneath their logo – perfect to take that insta-worthy photo featuring your ice cream!
There are close to 20 flavours of ice cream to choose from, with single scoop priced at $4.20, double scoop at $8 and triple scoops at $11. There is an additional charge of $0.50 for their premium flavours.
We had the Apiary Ice Cream flavour (named after the store itself), a Premium flavour that contains Wildflower honey and cocoa nibs. Does that not already sound so good? Indeed, the ice cream was creamy and dense. Like their other flavours, what I really like about Apiary’s ice cream is the distinct fragrance of milk that you can so clearly taste. There are swirls of wildflower honey blended into the milky ice cream, adding a touch of sweetness with every bite. The cocoa nibs are crunchy, and the bitterness of the cocoa evens out the sweetness from the honey.
Other than ice creams, they also serve Coffees and take away ice cream pints.
Conveniently located near to the MRT Station, and its vicinity filled with numerous eateries such as the famous Ang Mo Kio Char Kway Teow, Apiary Jubilee would be a great choice to have an after meal dessert if you are nearby!
